Sara Bunn filed the case in March of this year, when she sued for full guardianship. According to the family, she would have been happy with visitation rights. 

“Nobody had a bad thing to say about her,” said a close friend, perhaps unburdened to tell someone how much Tyrrell was loved by all. “She deserved more than this. She was an anchor in this neighborhood.”

Nichelini’s initial complaint includes allegations of violating his free speech, privacy, and due process rights, defamation, interference with union activities, discrimination, retaliation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among others. 

The victim, identified in court records as 32-year-old Ahman Burns, was shot around 9 p.m. June 30, near Falcon Drive and Violet Drive, authorities said at the time. He died at a hospital later that day. Vallejo police have not announced any arrests.

Interim City Manager Anne Cardwell tells the paper that members of the community have made it difficult to run the city. There is a very vocal segment of the community that is incredibly critical of city staff at council meetings on a regular basis, including making false and negative statements about various city employees,” she said.

He was shot at the notorious King’s Market on Fairgrounds Drive, which has unfortunately continued to be plagued by gun violence. 

Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male victim in a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim, a 46-year-old male resident of Vallejo, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
