Vallejo PD Sends its 2021 Report to Department Heads, Read it Here

The Vallejo Police Department has released its 2021 stats report to city staff. You can read it here.

Some highlights from the report:

Officer involved shootings: Zero

Use of force incidents: 86 (142 last year, so with my shitty math, that’s a 40 percent decrease).

Calls for service: 57, 914

Crime reports: 8,657

Percentages over last year:

20 murders, down 29 percent over 2020

123 rapes, down 7 percent

263 robberies, down 15 percent

Aggravated assaults, 747, less than one percent change

Burglary residential, 308, down 5 percent

Burglary, commercial, 401, down 11 percent

Burglary, auto, larceny, 1009, down 4 percent

Larceny, 1,531, up 30 percent

Stolen vehicles, 1,119, up 5 percent

Arson, 58, down 17 percent

Domestic violence, 555, down 9 percent, though department says some are included in the aggravated assault numbers

Violent crime total, 1,914, down 9 percent

Property crime total, 4,426, up 7 percent

Total crime up 2 percent
