Interim City Manager Anne Cardwell Quits

It’s safe to say that the city council won’t be choosing Anne Cardwell as Vallejo City Manager, as she informed them by phone today that she was giving her 45 days notice, the City of Vallejo has confirmed.

Cardwell had just been named Interim City Manager and there has been speculation that she would end up with the permanent position. The city council is set to discuss a “City Manager” issue in closed session tomorrow.

The 45 days should give the city ample time to create a smooth transition, though whether or not another interim CM will be named or if council will expedite hiring a new city manager remains to be seen.
